Sandy Road Lamp, Seaforth

The Sandy Road Lamp, Seaforth

 

The Sandy Road lamp was a popular gathering place for people from Seaforth and Litherland on New Year's Eve.

 

 

CAD model ready for 3D printing

 

 

 

University of Liverpool logoThis model of the Sandy Road lamp was designed by Armada and 'printed out' in ABS plastic on one of the University of Liverpool's additive manufacturing machines (also known as 3D printers).

 

The Seaglam model builders where fortunate enough to be given a tour of Liverpool's 3D printing lab. The participants were, from left to right: Brenda Murray (chair of the Seaglam committee), Steven Bode of the University of Liverpool, Mike Murray, Malcolm Terry, Jim Finn, Tom Little and Rob Cairns (not pictured).
